Music reflection (25/Nov/2010)

Today, we did the music assessment, i played my own melody, i felt very shy, and my hands are kind of frozen, i had a few mistakes, and i think i will have a kind of bad score. After i did my assessment, i heard all my friends played there song, their songs are very nice and pleasant to hear. While my friends are doing there assessment/playing their melody, i filled in the blanks and answer the questions in the booklet that Mr. Sadrakh gave. The first booklet is about my melody, on how did i prepare it, How was my assessment and what shold i improve on. The most hard part was when i have to fill in all the lines or not, i will have a lower score. After i was done with the first booklet, here comes another booklet, this time it was thicker and has more lines in it. This time, it isnt about my playin gmy melody. it was a lot of stuff. it was hard!

Today, first, Mr. Sadrakh played one of our friends melody. He told us to put comments to it, after that, Mr. Sadrkah told us to guess whose it was. That person didnt even know that it was his. IT was Andrews. Then Mr. Sadrakh told all the guitar people to play the C major. One of my friend cant so... yeah. i dont really want to talk about it. Anyways, than it was time to instrument class. Ms. Melvina called us each to play our own melody. and i plaed with both hands this time because my tutor helped me with the left hand... :)

Today, we played or rehearsed our melody, but except for the one who played last time. Also Mr. Sadrakh made a challenge that for the flute students because they don really know how to play so 2 of my friends replaced them in the flute and the 2 people in the flute changed to piano and guitar.

Today, some of us showed us their own made melody, and i was one of them too. I only played with the right hand because i have not made the left hand melody. While some of us were showing our melody, 2 of our friends, Mourezky and Pinka did the assessment about our own melody, they did it because they were absent last time. I felt kind of wierd when i was showing it though... but it was worth it because i don't have to play it again next period.

Today, we had another assessment, it was all copying our melody to the booklet and answer the questions. we also had to fill in all the lines but it was easier than the last assessment. and plus this time the lines arent really long. it was kind of short thought. Also very easy... :)

Today we did the Asian assessment, it was kind of hard thats because i have too fill in all the lines that are very long and which i hate too... Plus the questions are hard to explain and sometimes for each questions, i am always out of ideas of what to write so its kid of hard. But thank god it was just 4 questions. :)

Today, we discussed about the patantonic scale. 4 of my friends introduced/made their own melody. Their melodys are awesome! i liked theirs. the only one i like is Nathan and Tiffany one... but the 2 of theirs are nice too.Anyway, in instrument class, i made at least 4 bars of my composition... when i am done, i played and heared it, it is kind of nice... i am happy Ms. Melvina helped me... My friend Qinthara also made 16 bars, which she completed already. Ms. Melvina tried to play her song and i kind of like it but no 100%...

Today, i learnt patantonic scale, it was very cool. It is not really easy but a little bit kind of hard though. We only lerant 2 of the pantatonic scale because the 2 of them are the basic ones. I am really happy to learn it.

today we dissussed about the written test and all out score so far we did in music. In all i got a good score. these are the scores for all the tests:
1) i got 17.5 out of 20 for the written test
2) I got 7 out of 8 for the booklet about Indian instrument
3) i got 7 out of 10 for my singing (i sing really horrible)
And to bad there was no instrument class today...

Today. we re-do the presentation, our presentation still kind of suck because there is no pictures, but luckily i remebered that one of my friends email me a video, so i used that and used that for my presentation, our score got a little bit higher, i dont really mind... but if nust i could remeber next imte to put some pictures, probably i could get a full score... :D

today was a weird day, i did the powerpoint presentation... but my friends said that it kind of suck because it doesnt have a video or any pictures... anyway i also dont really like the group ever since the first place.. for me it is wierdst group i had ever joined in but good thing there is my friend... Today, wasn't a bad day... we actually only did the rehearsal for the project... Mr. John our substitute teacher of Mr. Sadrakh, said that we can read from the text on the powerpoint. because its just a rehearsal... anyway... he said that the real assessment is going to be This Thursday... i wasn't really shocked because i know we will pass... anyway after we were done with the rehearsal we went for lunch..

Music reflection (7/October/2010)

Today, was a weird day for me, at music class, today, we did the singing assessment, mine was an Indian song, it was weird... but no offense to indian people... anyway first i sang without tunes and very soft voice. but later, after i got used to singing, i sang with a little tune, and a little but louder voice than the first try. its at least better than the first one.. nobody is perfect... To be honest also, i don't really like the song.. that is probably why i sang with no confidence....

Today, we learnt about the flat and the sharp, for me, at the first time it was hard but then when Mr. Sadrkah discussed it more, i kind of understand it slowly by slowly. we also then reviewed about the triad it was super easy.

Music reflection (4-OCT-2010)

Today, Mr Sadrakh gave us a quiz. For me it was a little bit easy... But it was also a little bit hard... But I actually managed to do it... After we all have done the quiz, Mr Sadrakh told us to sing the songs of our own... Like my group is the Indian group so I must have an Indian song to sing... I actually got one to sing but he gave all of us another one.. But I think this one is easier to pronounce and a little bit to sing too. The Indian song was a little bit wierd. And I don't really like... So then It was time for lunch.. So yeah...

Today, mr Sadrakh explained the triode to us, this time it is easy to understand, he gave time for us to study about the triad because he is going to us about the triad, he actually didn't ask me, I was happy...then he told us to do a reflection about the progress that we have done in the project. My group was talking about Indian stuff. I had a fight with my friend. At last it is time for music class. There, we learnt about the A minor, for me it was easy because I have already learnt it with my tutor... 3 of my friends was trying with ms. Melvina. When it was my turn already, the time was up... So I didn't got my chance..

Music reflection (2- september- 2010)

Today i did the assessment, it is actually next week, Monday. But since i am going to Europe tomorrow, i'm going to do the assessment today. I was very, very nervous, i was nervous of my friends but not to mr. Sadrkh. At last the song was done, and i was playing Potong bebek Angsa, i actually got 8 only... probably i got 8 because i did not memorize, and i made 3 mistakes because i'm nervous. it wasn't really enough for me because it is over 10. So after the Violin, Guitar and flute practiced in front of Mr. Sadrakh, i told him i wanted to re-do, i actually got 8.5 how terrible!!! :( i did it for nothing!i just wish i got 9 or 9.5! BLAH!! its the same!!!

Today we discussed about our blog, some of us still did not do it. but the piano group did it/ Mr. Sadrakh also told us about the 2 assessment test... the first one was the oral singing, i got 7, and the other which is the binding book, i got full score, i got 8!!! :D My group did a wonderful JOB!! :)

Today, we present the project me and my group made. It was kind of good. Mr. Sadrakh said it was good, But even though Mr. Sadrakh said it was just good, i say it was more than good, it was excellent. Thats because they did a hard work and they did a good job. I also gave the binded paper, he said i need to work on the cover, and i have to fix the grammar to too. I just realized that there was a paper that has an Indonesian language and english language mixed together i knew it will also effect the score though. And i also have to re-bind it. :)

Music reflection (23/Aug/2010)

In music class today, i didn't came late. But one of my friends was late. Anyway, Mr. Sadrakh, told us to do a presentation on our progress. Mr. Sadrakh, said my group did a great a job. I was talking about the progress of each of my group members are doing. The project is due on this thursday which is 26/Aug/2010. We just have to bind the 20 pages of research and we have to research again on the video that one of my group mates had done. We also showed the video about the Papua instruments. it was very AWKWARD!

Music reflection (18/aug/2010)

Today, some of were late for music class, but i wasn't, so, Mr. Sadrakh asked us about the progress in the blog, i already sent Mr. Sadrakh my address,  but some of us have not sent Mr. Sadrakh the address for our blog. After we are done with the Blog discussion, mr. Sadrakh asked again about the progress in our proect(java+Papua) Mr. Sadrakh told us to tell our classmate what we were doing the past 2 weeks, i think i and my group did a great job because we cooperate to each other. I heard other groups were using the powerpoint but i don't think we are going to use the powerpoint anyway. Me and my group were planning to go to my house to do more research, and plus, the project is due on Monday next week, SO LITTLE TIME! Next, we talked about the assessment for playing our instrument, I and Mr. Sadrakh suggest Potong Bebek Angsa and another song, which I forgot, but I picked Potong Bebek Angsa.
For the instrument, Ms. Melvina was absent because something happened to her, which i don't know, anyway, Mr. Harry replaced her, today, Mr. Harry told us to play the scale, i play C major until B Minor, for me it is a little bit easy.

Music Reflection (16/ August/2010)

Today Mr. harry discussed about making a Blog and how to write a good reflection. We were also late for about 8 minutes. The Blog is for updating our reflection in Music class. We are also supposed to email Mr. Sadrkh the our blog address . i will do it to-night and start updating tomorrow morning. I promise to not be late anymore next time.

In music class, Mr. Sadrkh told us to share our progress on the project, we didn't really did a great jod but the other groups did a great job, especially the Guitar group. I promise to do a great job next meeting. And in this group i was the leader. :)

Music Reflection (5/Aug/2010)

Today, we checked the homework that Mr. Sadrakh gave us last week, it was about the Scale, I got 7 over 8, for me it is already good because i got only 1 mistake, but some of my friends got a full score. And we learnt a new SCALE! It was A minor, It was easy. After we checked our homework, we discussed about the project we are going to do, for the Piano's group project, we have to find the instrument in Java, and Papua, but it must be a similar one between Papua and Java.

Music Reflection (30/07/2010)

Today, I re-do my singing, because last time, i got 7 only, i for that is not enough, so yeah, i re-do it. When i re-did it, i got a LOW score instead of having a high score. :( probably i got a low score because i wasn't concentrated enough, i was really shy, if i wasn't shy, i would get a better score(maybe). I wanted to re-do again but it was to late, so i didn't. if i re-did it, i promise myself i would get a higher score, probably among my friends, i almost got the lowest score.

Music Reflection (28/07/2010)

In Piano Theory, we learnt 1# or it is called G major, IT was easy, Mr sadrakh tested us 1 by 1 for the G major Scale, i think i did well it was EASY! Mr Sadrakh also gave us homework, it is to figure out what 4 sharp, i guessing it was E major... probably i am correct :) In Music Class, I did better on my song (potong bebek angsa) i almost went smoothly, but to be honest on the first 3 lines, but i practiced at least for 20 minutes.

Music Reflection (26/07/2010)

Today we review the scale and we did a small game or quiz about the scale. for me the game was kind of hard, but I had a lot of fun at the music class, Mr. Sadrakh, our music theory teacher, also told us to memorize the scale. My music is teacher is Ms. Melvina, i started on my song, it is called "Potong Bebek Angsa", it is an Indonesia song. When i play the song, I did a little bit well, Ms. Melvina told me to improve on my scale, she also tested me on my scale, i think she was testing me to just see if I remembered... :) and she said i have to improve on my fingers, i had trouble on my finger. The first week of Music was SUPER!!!!:)
