Music Reflection (17/February/2012)

Music Theory Class
Today, Mr. Sadrakh asked us how we were doing for our blog some of us needs to make a new blog because they are new students and some has to re make their blogs bcuz some of their blogs got deleted or forgot their passwords.

Instrument Class
Today,  Mr. Herry asked us one by one if we had done our homework, which is finishing with our melody. Only 1 student has done the melody. But the others weren't done yet, including me. Mr Herry was quite mad. But he gave us the whole session to finish our melody. I was almost finished with my melody. And fortunately i was finished it on time. My friends played their melody, and i think that their songs were nice, i liked it. When it was my turn to play my melody, i had some trouble playing my song because the beat that Mr Herry made was too fast for me to catch up. Mr herry said that there were some mistakes in my song so i had to fix it when i get home.

Music Reflection (15/February/2012)

Today in theory class, Mr. Sadrakh discussed about our Baroque composers booklet. He gave us a booklet about the things that we should do to make the assessment booklet good. He actually gave us the booklet after i was done doing the Baroque composers booklet, so basically i had to redo the Baroque composers booklet. But the good thing about this is that he gave me an extra point if we did the Baroque composers booklet first. Some people didn't do it though. In the class Mr. Harry also helped us install the application "Finale". Another thing that we discussed is that Mr. Sadrakh and Mr. Herry reminded us to do the 32 bar melody. In this assessment, we are suppose/instructed to create our own melody. I wasn't finished yet, but 2-3 of my friends already completed it. Mr. Herry played their melody and i think it was pretty good.

Today, we didn't have instrument class because Mr. Sadrakh said that we have a lot of things to do and we cannot waste time. So, we spent the instrument class time discussing about the assessments that we should complete and do.

Music Reflection (08/February/2012)

Music theory reflection
Today, Mr. Sadrakh gave us the dates and lists of things that we are going to learn next term. Then Mr. Sadrakh gave us a software that could help us make notes and stuff. This software helps us to make music and it would be easier than writing 32 whole bars by hand. He also then showed us some eexamples on how to use he software. This software is called "Finale"

Music Instrument reflection
Today, we are told to make a 4 bar music with the C, G, AM and F chord i think it wasn't to hard to figure out which note i need to insert. But i also had 20% trouble imagining on what the song will sound like in my mind. After we were all done, Mr. Herry took at least 1 bar from each of us and he combined it together. We heard how the song went like, it was AWESOME. Next Mr. Herry gave us an assignment that we had to continue doing another 4  bars for the song that we made earlier.

Music Reflection (3/February/2012)

Theory Class
Today we learnt/reviewed about the chords, Mr. Sadrakh asked us 1 by 1 again about the chords. I think i had 25% of trouble memorizing it. But i will try my best to memorize/review the chords.

Instrument Class
Today, we played the C, G and D major i think it was a bit easy but i also had a bit of problem on which hand i am suppose to put on which note.

Music Reflection (1/February/2012)

Today, we learnt about the chords and i think its a bit easy, Mr. Sadrakh asked us one by one about the chords (again) and we had to memorize it this time. I don't think i had too much trouble memorizing it because i can 60% aware of this ever since i was a little girl

Music Instrument (27/January/2012)

today we reviewed the C major scale and we also reviewed the music notations. we then also learnt how to play the 2nd octave scale. Mr Sadrakh asked us one by one about the music notations. i think it is pretty easy to answer.

Music Reflection (25/January/2012)

Today we did the music assessment which is for singing 'Hari Merdeka'. Then i was called with Chiora (my partner in singing the song). The first time i sang i laughed and couldn't concentrate because when i always perform in front of a big crowd of the whole class, i always get distracted by things around me. Mr Sadrakh got mad at us so he gave us a 2nd chance. When i sang for the 2nd time, i only can concentrate a bit but only for 30% plus i also was holding back my laugh so my voice was not that much clear. Then after we were done singing, Mr sadrakh gave us the score, i got one of the lowest i got 6.5 out of 10. Mr Sadrakh said there is a possibility that we can re-do. when everybody was finished, Mr. Sadrakh called us back in and we had to re-do it. This time i think i concentrated very good. After i sang Mr. Sadrakh gave us our score, i got 8.5 but Chiora (my partner) got 8. Today we also didn't have instrument class because we had no time and we gave the whole time for the music assessment.

Music reflection (20/January/2012)

Theory Class
Today, we practiced the 'Hari Merdeka' song, i didn't have any trouble memorizing the lyrics but i had a problem on PRONOUNCING some words in indonesian language in the song. Then we also checked our homework that was given last session/ last time we had music.

Instrument Class Reflection
Today, we practiced the C major in the piano, i had a tiny bit of difficulty on which finger i am suppose to turn or which hand i am suppose to press the key with. I also had another trouble because my finger nails are to long and i can damage the piano and it can effect the way i play the piano. We also then learnt the F and G clef. I think i have to practice more on my scale and i will get better next time i play piano (i think)

Today, we had our first instrument class. there, we shared our phones and names. we also discussed the music types that we are going to learn in this semester; Baroque music and classical music.
